Surprise Marriage Vow Renewal

Last Sunday, Karen and Mark had one last Christmas surprise for their kids, a surprise vow renewal!
I always love being at weddings, but there is something so uniqely special about a vow renewal. At a wedding there is the celebration of the present and future, but a vow renewal is a celebration of love and commitment that is, has been and will be.
Congratulations Karen and Mark!!!
It was a beautiful gift for your family!!

Nate’s Bar Mitzvah

On Saturday, I had the privilege of attending a Bar Mitzvah for a very special guy!

It was Nate Edenfield’s big day!

We had met previously for a few hours, so I knew this guy had a great attitude, which makes my job that much more fun!

I was there from the morning ceremony to the reception in the evening. It was a joy to watch the love that surrounded this teenager! From family members who traveled cross country to classmate who traveled mere miles, everyone was smiles over Nate’s milestone!

Thank you to the Edenfields for this opportunity!

Olivia’s Baptism

Last Sunday, “Miss O” was baptized. I first met Olivia about 5 months ago during her newborn shoot. She had, and still has, the most beautful dark eyes and hair. Sunday, those same eyes were so alert and charming everyone. She was surrounded by lots of love! Her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousin and Godfather traveled far to witness this special moment in Olivia’s life!

I always love my job, however Sunday, I felt extreamly blessed to be able to do what I do!

Sarah & Joel are engaged!!

Last Saturday, I had such a great time with Sarah & Joel!

When we originally talked about doing an engagement session, Sarah mentioned that she would like to meet at the wedding site, Sims Valley. There is a beautiful homestead there, which would have been beautiful!

However, due to time limitations we settled on Downtown Sylva, NC!

Who would have thought that Sarah’s little hometown would end up being the perfect spot for this couple. We met at Annie’s. If you ever find yourself in Sylva, a stop at Annie’s is a MUST!! It is a wonderful bakery on Main Street!

As we walked around Back street and Main street, we found unique nooks and cranneys. The colors and textures we found were such an appropriate backdrop to show off this couples bright personalities!

The laughter was contagious!

A shoot at the beautiful wedding site will have to wait until June 2010!! I can hardly wait!!

Thanks to Sarah and Joel for having such a fun attitude and willingness to go along with some of my wacky ideas :)
